Fayose Apologizes As He Plans To Do This, Reveals How His 2Nd Anniversary Will Be Celebrated
More houses will be demolished in Ekiti state following the ongoing construction of a flyover.
Governor Fayose apologized to residents of the state for the inconvenience .
The governor vowed not to relent in his efforts to change the face of Ado Ekiti, the state capital Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state has said more houses in Ado Ekiti, the state capital, would be demolished to pave way for the ongoing construction of a flyover.
According to him, the demolition exercise will commence on September 12.
The governor disclosed this on Monday evening during this month’s edition of his media chat, Meet Your Governor, aired on the major electronic media in the stat, The Nation reports.
From next Monday, houses will be demolished for the road construction to complement the flyover.
We are also going to demolish buildings constructed along flood plains,the governor said.
He explained that the demolition of houses along the flyover route was to construct road beside the bridge to ease mobility and traffic.
Fayose apologized to the residents, motorists, pedestrians and commuters coming in and out of Ado Ekiti for the inconveniences being experienced over the construction of flyover.
On the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the creation of Ekiti state on October 1 and the second anniversary of his administration on October 16, Governor Fayose said it will be a low-key celebration.
He said it will be low-key because of the current economic situation of the state.
