Woman Whose Evil Husband Cut Off Her Hands Returns With New Fitted Brand New Arms (Photo & Video)
Finally, the woman whose possessed husband used machete to cut off her hands during domestic fight has gotten her arms back.
A woman whose hands were chopped off by the evil husband during a domestic fight is gradually recovering from the shock after she was successfully fitted with new hands.
It was a joyful occasion as the woman identified as Jackline Mwende returned to Kenya on Monday via Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) from South Korea with a pair of brand new arms.
The woman could not hide her excitement as she proudly displayed her new pair of myoelectric arms which doctors say she will comfortably adapt to using in a span of two months.
“I thank God. I am happy. I now have my hands back,” she said.
The 27-year-old was received by electronic company LG, which sponsored her surgery in South Korea and Machakos County, where she lives.
She expressed her delight in finally being able to do some basic life chores after the brutal attack that had rendered her helpless, The Kenyans reports.
“But now I am well again. Actually, I feel independent. I can eat, drink and even visit the washroom by myself.”
“Now I can go back to tending to my shop. I can continue earning my livelihood without having to rely on anyone,” she added.
The arms, whose lifespan is estimated at 10 years, are fitted with a naturalistic brown glove matching her skin colour and one can hardly tell they are artificial.
It would be recalled that on July 24, Mwende was allegedly attacked by her husband, Stephen Ngila, who cut off her hands for failure to conceive a baby, seven years into their marriage.
According to Ms Mwende, they had separated with Mr Ngila for three months and on the fateful day, her estranged husband showed up at her house and started attacking her with a panga.
“He moved out of our house three months ago and came back on Sunday (July 24) at around 8.30pm. When I opened the door, he said ‘today is your last day’ and started slashing me with the panga,” Ms Mwende was quoted by the Nation.
The news received widespread condemnation as people tasked security agencies to make sure that the man is held responsible for his action.
Mr Ngila has since been arrested and awaiting prosecution.
Mwende left for South Korea on September 26 accompanied by Ms Hellen Kanini, a nurse at the Machakos County emergency rescue team.
