Netherlands flower parade [PHOTOS]
The annual ‘Corso Zundert’ Flower Parade took place in the Netherlands on Sunday, September 4, 2016.
20 teams of volunteers from different hamlets competed to win the best-designed flower float.
The annual flower festival was founded in 1936, and it is a celebration of the Netherlands’ iconic flower exports.
The parade is held yearly in the little town of Zundert. The flower floats are accompanied by performers and marching bands.
There
were different flower floats made from thousands of dahilas at this
year's parade. The designs ranged from animals to people to mystical
creatures.
This winner this year had a float
titled 'Dangerous Transportation'. It was a giant orange dragon. The
team that designed the float is called Tiggelaar.
