John Mikel Obi Manchester United boss, Mourinho interested in midfielder
Mourinho is having problems with his midfield as he keeps looking for ways to utilise his world record signing Paul Pogba.
John Mikel Obi could join his former coach Jose Mourinho at Manchester United according to reports.
Mikel Obi is yet to make an appearance for Chelsea this season under coach Antonio Conte.
The
midfielder who is in his last contract at Chelsea could make a shock
move and join his former coach Mourinho who is now manager of Manchester
United.
Mikel and Mourinho worked
together during manager's two stints at Chelsea and the United boss is
looking into the possibilities of bringing in the Nigeria international.

In the defensive midfield position, Morgan Schneiderlin is yet to impress Mourinho, Bastian Schweinsteiger has been in the team at all while at the age 35, Michael Carrick is no longer in his prime again.
Mourinho reportedly sees Mikel as the suitable candidate to partner Pogba in the Manchester United midfielder.
Interestingly, it was Mourinho who first used Mikel as a defensive midfielder when he signed him in 2006.
Mikel
was on the verge of joining Manchester United before he made a U-turn
to sign for Chelsea sparking a transfer dispute between the two clubs.
