The
 Federal Government’s draft National Oil Policy has proposed to 
consolidate Nigeria’s oil industry regulatory authorities into a single 
agency to be known as Petroleum Regulatory Commission, PRC, while 
scrapping all other regulators, including the Nigerian National 
Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR, and
 Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency, PPPRA, among others.
DSS raids on BDCs: Analysts predict increased volatility, fragmentation in parallel market
Experts
 have predicted that the recent raids on bureaux de change (BDCs) by 
operatives of the Department of State Security (DSS) will lead to 
increased volatility of exchange rate and further fragmentation of the 
parallel market.
No punishment is too much for corrupt judges – Sagay
PROFESSOR
 Itse Sagay, SAN, is the chairman of Presidential Advisory Committee 
against Corruption. In this interview, he justifies the raid by the 
Department of State Services, DSS, on the home of some judges. He also 
accused the National Judicial Council, NJC, for being ineffective in 
combating graft in the judiciary and opposed calls by some critics that 
the Minister of Transport, Mr Rotimi Amaechi, should step down following
 allegations against him by two of the affected justices.

 fewer than seven residents of Otodo Gbame, an Egun community in the

 State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, has expressed reservations over the
 non-appointment of Justice Walter Nkanu Onnoghen as the substantive 
Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), claiming that his appointment in an 
acting capacity was “a grand plot to deprive him of his well-deserved 
appointment as CJN because he is from the South-south region”.

about two years time, as a result of sweeping reforms contained the 
draft National Oil Policy which has been presented to stakeholders for 
their input. This is however subject to the approval of the National 
Assembly.
